For a healthcare company I found GE Lifesciences really unsympathetic. Once they had the information they wanted they gave me the push. I certainly would not trust them again. They kept promising the contract would go on for at least 18 months, then when they had the knowledge they had been after they sacked me. Pros None. Cons Long hours and no work given.

Regularly ended up working long hours with no extra overtime - you automatically sign to exempt yourself from the working time directive. Cons Don't know when you will finish - job you are on takes as long as it takes!

The individuals I worked with were all nice people but the atmoshere in the office was very disciplined. This is a company who prefers it's employees to just focus on their work from 9 till 5 without any time to socialise and relax.

Fast paced but fun workplace. Busy, non-stop, fast paced workplace. I learned to set up and operate a number of different machines. Can be boring if stuck on one machine, so is good when rotation occurs. Only a temp position nothing great to say it was a mixed lot really some good experiences some bad its ok to work there nice people nice job it was only for 17 months but ive moved to something much better average experience to work there not a good place for career advancement as its easy to get lost with so many managers having so many different management styles and prefferences for working and training staff so just my opinion but everyone is different.
